A monorail busbar system is a specialized power supply system designed to transmit electricity to mobile consumers such as cranes, hoists, carts and other machinery. A busbar consists of several conductors assembled into a multi-line system. Each conductor busbar is housed in an individual plastic insulator, and each conductor is provided with its own individual current collector. The slip ring slides over the individual busbar in a grooved design, which provides a more secure hold on the busbar. A monotrolley busbar includes the basic elements:
- Conductive busbar: made of highly conductive metal (copper or aluminum, reinforced with a narrow steel plate along the sliding path of the current collector) and serves to transmit electricity;
- Movable current collector: a device associated with a movable mechanism that slides along a conductive rail, ensuring constant contact and continuous power supply;
- Plastic connection pads, plugs and hangers: provide system security and securely fasten the rail to structures.
Monotrolley busbar systems are widely used in a variety of industrial and infrastructure applications, including:
- Industrial plants: for powering overhead and gantry cranes, hoists and other mobile equipment;
- Warehouses and logistics centers: for automated and semi-automated storage and handling systems;
